But if he wanted to return to regular order he could have voted no on MTP and insisted a bill went through commitee with proper amendments and CBO scoring???
yea, watched his speech and can't reconcile the speech and vote.
Looks like what ever they come up with will be put to a vote by the end of the week. It will be very interesting to see how he votes then.

True I suppose. Guess it's just rhetoric at the end of the day.

But he is right.
Don't get me wrong it was a powerful speech, well delivered and I agree with most of the sentiment. Just think if you are going to talk the talk you need to walk the walk - Collins has done far more with her actions to try to get a bipartisan bill than McCain has despite his eloquence.

Removing Sessions will be the worst mistake Trump ever makes.. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions is the slippy snake that will do for Trump what he has done for many dozens of (basically innocent) Democratic politicians. If he can take down innocents he'll have no problem dropping Donald in the swamp..

This is a massive can of worms. It will now be open for debate and amendments which could stall this thing forever since they will be from both sides of the aisle.

When it opens for debate tomorrow and amendments are allowed this will be drawn out by both sides as each amendment has to be debated on and you can put forward hundreds of amendments. Eventually McConnell/GOP could eventually change the rules or Parliamentarian could rule some amendments dilatory - either way that process would then be shut down and McConnell will introduce an amendment which wipes away all previous amendments - this will form the final bill.

Come on... politicians sticking with their principles?? There's only a few I can think of and McCain ain't one of them..

They do get some things wrong and should be held to account for that when they do. To blanket label everything they say as faux news takes it way too far imo but each to his/her own.

quite honestly it may be selection bias as I tend to keep up with us scandals mainly via YouTube channels and the ones I watch (mainly Sargon of akkad and Tim Poole) have had a lot to say about CNN and their various dubious practices

they aren't particularly ideologically opposed to leftwing politics either; SOA calls himself a socdem and Tim Poole is a freelance journalist

Tbh I'm a bit skeptical of most cable shows as a lot of it seems tailored more to entertainment than information - the adverts drive me nuts as well lol

tbf CNN has just come off mounting a witch hunt against someone who made a meme and has been caught in lies again and again

they're just the democrat's version of faux news
Ah come on...
I just find CNN a bit bland, probably left of center and maybe with an agenda overall bland, but I know people who have deleted their CNN bookmarks etc. because 'AAAAHHHH FAKE NEWS FAKE NEWS'. Fox on the other hand seems liquidize minds. It's absolute garbage.
