Haven't been in here for quite a while... Absolutely unbelievable what's going on.
Hey, at least he hasn't got a private email server though, eh?
It's actually stopping being funny now , it's really starting to look dangerous. How does anybody defend this position , do things like this happen in democracies?
And we thought we had it bad in this country? Sadly look to America for our future is the Tories get a landslide as we always love to follow what American republicans do.No, they don't. Meanwhile the GOP is willing to let American democracy die as long as they get their giant tax cut for the rich. They are all disgusting soulless traitors.
I'm damned sure it's not funny anymore. It wasn't funny to begin with to be honest, but it's significantly worse now. It's actually stopping being funny now , it's really starting to look dangerous. How does anybody defend this position , do things like this happen in democracies?
From this sacking to the jobs for family members , the recent behaviour of the kutchner family , the links between support for political leaders to Trump business projects , the Russia stuff , calls on Russia and wikileaks to act during the election and on and on and on. It really is what you'd expect from third world strongmen .
Like I say I'm not sure it's funny any more .
At least the Russians are finding it hilariousI'm damned sure it's not funny anymore. It wasn't funny to begin with to be honest, but it's significantly worse now.
I actually don't have a problem with Comey losing his job, since he basically ****ed up a Presidential election by acting way outside of the bounds of how the FBI is supposed to conduct itself.
If what SHOULD have happened re: Russia weeks/months ago (special prosecutor/independent commission appointed) then Comey getting fired would be fine. Problem is that Trump now gets to appoint his replacement, who'll be responsible for continuing the Russia investigation which is just so far beyond the realms of OK, it beggars belief.

By and large noThe reality is , as an outsider , I found the ridiculousness of a trump presidency although worrying amusing . The ridiculousness of the bloke , his flip flopping , his 100 word vocabulary and the twitter rubbish amongst everything else I couldn't help but find myself smiling and occasionally thinking (only occasionally and apologies to our American posters ) well you elected him so you're welcome to him .
I wasn't even sure that Russia would end up the smoking gun than I hoped it would to be honest . The more I see the more it plays out it's something I never thought I'd see and the more I think , is there even more to the Russia links than it seemed at first . I can't see anyway now that they can avoid the independent commission/special prosecutor route and retain even a semblance of credibility. Surely Republican politicians are going to have to put their country first , I cannot believe this can be ignored .
There have been people laughed at and mocked for pointing out how fascist leaders position themselves but this bloke is actually following this almost to the letter and I know ive said this has stopped being funny well more than that it's actually becoming genuinely frightening.

McConnell said a special prosecutor would "only impede the current work being done" whilst simultaneously supporting the decision to fire Comey without apparently being at all concerned that the process involved in hiring a new FBI director would presumably impede the FBI work being currently done.

Never underestimate Republicans' potential for craven and cowardly self preservation. They've all hitched their carts to Trump, and they'll more than likely stick to it.The reality is , as an outsider , I found the ridiculousness of a trump presidency although worrying amusing .
