Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

John McCain summed it all up nicely I think......

“It is clear from the confusion at our airports across the nation that President Trump’s executive order was not properly vetted. We are particularly concerned by reports that this order went into effect with little to no consultation with the Departments of State, Defense, Justice, and Homeland Security.

“Such a hasty process risks harmful results. We should not stop green-card holders from returning to the country they call home. We should not stop those who have served as interpreters for our military and diplomats from seeking refuge in the country they risked their lives to help.

"And we should not turn our backs on those refugees who have been shown through extensive vetting to pose no demonstrable threat to our nation, and who have suffered unspeakable horrors, most of them women and children.

“Ultimately, we fear this executive order will become a self-inflicted wound in the fight against terrorism. At this very moment, American troops are fighting side-by-side with our Iraqi partners to defeat Isil. But this executive order bans Iraqi pilots from coming to military bases in Arizona to fight our common enemies.

“Our most important allies in the fight against ISIL are the vast majority of Muslims who reject its apocalyptic ideology of hatred. This executive order sends a signal, intended or not, that America does not want Muslims coming into our country.

“That is why we fear this executive order may do more to help terrorist recruitment than improve our security.”

Trump doesn't share your praise for their comments...

I would like Trump if he behaved in a manner worth liking. Same goes for any politician.

But as I mentioned before, his track-record of behavior is beyond execrable, and it actually boggles my mind how anyone could defend it (e.g., do folks actually tell their daughters that 'grab 'em by the [Poor language removed]' was harmless locker room talk?).

...or their sons

Err so because I don't condemn the immigration policy of every other nation on earth I can't be upset about the immigration policy of the US, the country I live in and whose immigration process I have been through myself ???

From the limited information I have I think Japan's immigration policy is pretty awful but not quite sure what relevance it has to a Trump thread.

Pete's turning out to be an arch-apologist. It's not like he's even that convincing.

Prevent Donald Trump from making a State Visit to the United Kingdom.
Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen

lollollollol

He'll tone it all down and amend his policy, then make a list of everyone, Corbyn, Sturgeon et all who have slagged him off who will then be given 'special treatment' if they ever visit the States. I'm sure some enterprising civil servant will leak a copy of the 769K names as well.........

Tbf I think there is some validity in questioning both others and yourself "is it the act itself or who is doing it that is driving your anger - if this was done by a politician you/I supported how would you/I react". I think it is the issue Pete might be trying to get at but phrasing differently.

This is the point, there is very little even handedness or consistency, just lots of emotion. Trump would be the master of popcorning on here.........
