If Comey committed a crime, he should be charged, and if found guilty, he should be punished. I don't think you'll get much push-back here if that's the case. But after two major investigations, Comey hasn't been charged with anything.

But that's not really what is really going on here, is it?

Here's what's going on: You either have too much pride or too little maturity to admit that you are backing a horrifically corrupt individual. Your orange-hero is both politically and personally flawed in the most egregious and unparalleled ways. Your orange-hero has committed an unprecedented breach of national security and you can't even confront this with the slightest objectivity, so great is your fear of eating crow. The mental gymnastics you are engaging in would hopefully make your younger or future self cringe (e.g., questioning all 22 women who claim Trump sexually assaulted them, or suggesting that an embarrassing nonsense word in a tweet was "work of art" or "intentional", or comparing Emmett Till's case to Trump's and then trying to walk-back your comparison with some ham-fisted nonsense).

But I can already predict your next post. You'll scrutinize some small detail in my wording above (e.g., "I didn't say 'covfefe' was a work of art, I said his tweets were" or "I was merely suggesting that because Trump is rich, he's likely to attract some gold-diggers" or "I was just making a comparison about Till and Trump with respect to a fair trial" etc., etc.,), hoping that this is deflection will suffice for an answer so you don't have to admit that Trump engaged in a major and unprecedented crime that has no comparison with other recent presidents and that puts our national security at risk. You'll also likely engage in one of these tiresome gish-gallops, asking about 5-7 questions in lieu of questioning your own confirmation bias. The whataboutery you constantly engage in conveniently doubles as a tired and weak rhetorical defense as well as a psychological defense mechanism for you to keep your clown-car narrative intact.

But anyways, I wrote all of the above prior to me seeing you use the phrase "the Deep State" two times in the Biden thread so you have forfeited any credibility I was willing to give you, which was very little to begin with.

See, I don’t know why people worry so much about AI and deep fakes. The technology is clearly still in its infancy, as it can’t generate a convincing, natural sounding string of sentences.

Is always nonsensical and garbled, and uncanny valley - not quite human sounding, like this.
