Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

He was talking to a faith based group, of course his address was going to have religious overtones.

What you are talking is blasphemy though.

Christ died for our sins. To put himself on the same level of Christ, that idea that Trump is suffering for us, is heresy. That he fairly blatantly isn't suffering for us makes it a million times worse.

Which is weird, coming from someone who blatantly lied about his church attendance in 2015, and does not behave like a Christian. You wouldn't have believed Madonna if, when the Sex book came out, she claimed to be Catholic rather than a lapsed Catholic.

Why so many people believe Trump when he claims to be Christian, rather than a lapsed one, absolutely mystifies me. Tony Schwartz provided more than enough evidence that Trump is not a Christian in The Art of the Deal, and that's before Schwartz came out and said the portrait painted 'put lipstick on a pig' in his words.

Sure a lot of the evangelical right would
prefer Pence but the way they are more than happy to back Trump,
who expresses absolutely no Christian values, shows them up for their rank hypocrisy.
I’m an atheist and i’m probably more Christian than that lot.

Massive if true

I’d feel sorry for his lawyers but there was ample warning what Trump is like from the myriad other legal troubles he has had.

And the idea that the Presidential Records Act would deliberately make it EASIER for a President to take records rather than harder is nuts even for him given its history.
The Watergate scandal of 1972–1974 prompted another change. After resigning from office, President Richard Nixon wanted to destroy the White House tapes. Congress, backed up by the Supreme Court, passed the Presidential Recordings and Materials Preservation Act in 1974 to seize the Nixon tapes and papers and place them in the National Archives.

Four years later, Congress passed the Presidential Records Act of 1978 (also amended in 2014), which established government ownership of presidential records, starting with the next President to take office (Ronald Reagan).

He kind of gave away the game when asked what his favorite Bible verse was and responded with, “Two Corinthians”.
