If people look at the our current hellscape and think "i'm not gonna turn out b/c lefty libs etc etc and the GOP is a train wreck", then they are de facto Trumpers IMO

We are way, way past the point of "both sides have issues" so who cares.

There is only one option. Defeating Republicans is the adult thing to do in our current state
And any Republican who despairs at the state of their party should also vote against them to put a stop to the circus.

It is but a whole lot of possible voters just see massive rent, food, fuel price increases and listen to biden going on about record low unemployment. No one cares if everyone has a job if your job pays $13 an hour and your rent went up $300 a month.
The democrats, as always, are so bad at messaging.
Instead of bragging about economic achievements that aren't tangible, try and relate to the blue collar voters who are genuinely having it tough.
All the GOP have to do is point this out and they stop people going to the polls for Biden.
There's no childcare relief in this new bill, and the prescription drug relief doesn't kick in till after the midterms.
Climate change is a noble cause but it still wont sway those that need to be swayed.
It's so frustrating.
If it weren't for Roe being overturned they'd be sunk in the mid terms.

I agree, to a point.

Some of it is bad messaging. But what's the alternative? Forget Trumpism, it would be voting for a party/policies that ACTIVELY goes against anything that would tangibly help those people. It's not like the Republicans have any actual ideas to put food on people's tables.

And that's why it's so frustrating. Things would actually be much worse for those people with actual Republican policies.

Yea, I agree
I just think Biden has a habit of telling everyone that everything is rosy when it's not and that really grates with people.
The republicans, when in power, don't do that so much, they still point out the bad stuff and blame the dems.
It's a crappy tactic but far more effective.

This is interesting. The takeaways are: the facts suggest the memo was a post hoc rationalization for what Barr was going to do, the memo is fairly sound in its reasoning in that DOJ doesn't much like breaking ground with a case they think might be a loser, and that the basic problem here is that cronyism is not, in fact, illegal.
