Hard to believe anyone could be so arrogant as to think they would be untouchable after all this. Not just Trump, but everyone involved, it’s crazy.

This may or may not be interesting to anyone but I've recently caught up with an old contact I used to work closely with a few years ago. I'm in real estate investment/asset management and we worked together on a specific European fund for approx 4 years c2012-2016.
Anyway I learnt the other day he now works for Trump. I was stunned as he was both left leaning politically and meticulous in his nature of always staying on the right side of protocol. To cut to the chase - Trump is paying him about 8 times the going rate (plus lots of bonus potential). Trump's man just wouldn't take no for an answer. My contact is just turned 50. Its a 3 year deal. He figured he couldn't say no.
