I don't agree, but this is only because I think the country will splinter.
It'll be interesting to see what happens in the midterms. Trumps looney base giving primary victories to his candidates probably wont play well with moderate republicans and independents in the mid terms. If trumps picks take a beating in the mid terms we could be ok, if they win, we're in serious trouble as it maps out a fairly dire blueprint
About 6 or 7 people then.
I think independents could make up 20 to 30% of the electorate.
I'm a left leaning independent (mainly because I don't like the whole sleep walking in to party affiliation carry on)
but I'm fairly sure the right leaning independents don't buy in to Trumps nonsense, especially after Jan 6.
That could be up to 15% of the electorate, a big chunk in a two horse race.
I just cant see how you sit down at the end of the day and look at the 2 parties and think ‘actually I’m leaning towards those insane guys who say everything is fake’

Exactly! that's why I hope a large chunk of independents either don't turn out or (less likely) vote blue.
We've really got to hope that the Dems use the repealing of Rowe wisely aswell as the DOJ using October to bury Trump

2) This suggests that Letitia doesn't have all that much, which would explain Garland going to war.
The absolute nutjobs are still a pretty small vote - even within the GOP. Moderate and liberal Republicans are pretty tired of the circus of Trump at this stage. Its one thing outing someone in a primary but winning a GE isnt is easy, even in a red state.
If people look at the our current hellscape and think "i'm not gonna turn out b/c lefty libs etc etc and the GOP is a train wreck", then they are de facto Trumpers IMO
We are way, way past the point of "both sides have issues" so who cares.
There is only one option. Defeating Republicans is the adult thing to do in our current state
