Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Your system of governance has enough checks and balances to stop an Enabling Act moment for Trump, meaning all this will be is four years of damage, but also four years of serious lessons learned for the American people as it becomes increasingly clear what this idiot is.

So the good is that your country is getting all of its stupid out of its system and you'll be stronger when you wake up in four years time and get to bin the idiot.

Called it.

Called it.
Your first paragraph was fairly accurate. I don’t agree at all with the second. We’re certainly more aware of the crazy that has been hiding amongst us in plain sight, but I think it’s massively naive to say we’ve “gotten it out of our system”. Also, I don’t see how anyone could coherently argue that the US is stronger in ANY way on 1/18/2021 than it was on 1/18/2017.

I can easily coherently argue it - you don't have four years of Trump as president to come now.

It'll take time but Trumpism is basically dead after those Capitol riots. The Republicans have no choice but to come away from the extreme right now.

So today he tried to open the flights corridors between the US and UK,EU and Brazil, you know, the places with huge COVID issues.

The cynic in me honestly believes it is as an attempt to put the US under greater Covid strain by inviting more cases and strains.

Surely not........

I’d love to agree with you, but the opposite is probably true - if 2018 and 2020 elections show us nothing else, it’s that the far right won’t support a RINO party, so that party would lose elections consistently thanks to 10-20% of it’s support not turning out.

However as we’ve seen moderate GOP people (RINOs) will still support a far right party.
