No idea is there is a mechanism to remove what is clearly a deranged clown from office, even at this late stage of his term, but if there is a swift one, Reps should use it.

That would be a nice thought. But if I've learnt anything from the last four years, the Republican Party are nothing but a bunch of spineless self-serving cowards who were quite happy to stand by and let this complete and utter pile of steaming dog feces do what ever he wanted just as long as that they could stay in power.

I still remember Susan Collins justifying not voting against Trump in the impeachment trail because: 'He was a naughty boy and he learnt his lesson. He won't do it again.' Like she was talking about a naughty schoolboy. Wow! She must have almost choked on those words while she came up with that whopper!

John McCain and Mitt Romney... The only two republicans that I still have respect for and one of them is dead! lol

What if this clown starts inciting civil war? I doubt it get that bad, but what if? Surely they would have to take action if that were the case?

There is a means of removing him from office, but it would require Mike Pence and the cabinet to band together and do it. Anyone with aspirations of a political career beyond January 2021 isn’t going to stand up to Trump and the ire of his base. Also, even if they removed him, Pence would just see out the final weeks of his term, so is that upgrade really worth the headache?

At this point I might even scratch Romney off the list, as he was all too eager to toe the party line and cram one last justice onto the Supreme Court for Trump. Mike DeWine, the Republican governor or Ohio, has been fairly solid since the pandemic began. He has consistently followed the advice of experts, and encouraged his citizens to do the same. He also acknowledged Biden as the winner of the election pretty much from the moment the race was called.

It would be nice to think that the GOP post Trump would have done a lot of 'soul searching' and would have realized that the image that they projected onto the world during the Trump years was actually quite vile and despicable and in saying so would pick a candidate who has integrity and some basic common decency to run next time, FFS!
