Come on Trump. If you’re sacking them hawks at the pentagram pull the bloody troops out. Do what Obama promised he would do.(one of the multitude of pretend left wing failed promises). It could make things a tad difficult for the Afghani people as well, considering terrorist acts are so rife. Only a couple of weeks ago dozens were killed in a Kabul car bomb attack.

I have a colleague who is of Afghani origin, with most of her wider family still in Afghanistan. The troops being completely pulled out could destabilise things even further, and for the sake of "annoying" Biden?

These are serious policy considerations that should get the serious consideration they deserve. They shouldn't be an ill-thought out political gesture in the dying days of an administration refusing to transition peacefully.

I thought the conceding bit was more of a custom/manners thing than an actual thing an out going President must do.

Possibly, but I wouldn’t give it to him. I’m not in favor of Biden or his administration actively trying to jail him, as I think that’s a bad look in any democratic nation. However, they also shouldn’t offer him and his people blanket immunity for any crimes that may come to light in exchange for stepping aside peacefully, which is what every other president has done for almost 250 years.

This is his whole plan, he knows what he 'should' do, but like many of his sort he judges others based on...well that's what I'd do, I'd throw the book at me if I was Biden.
So he'll just sit and do nowt, leaving Biden with only 'a put up or shut up' / 'charge me or do one' no option option

It's not a rule, but it's important to democracy so that the people can move on and processes start. Not conceding has been one of the worst and most divisive things Trump has done in a long list of bad things he's done.

I am all for bringing the troops home. The US for far too long has played the policing role around the world and that really needs to stop.

But please don't make it sound like Trump has good intentions about pulling these troops from the middle east. He is a hawk as any other US president. While he is claiming that he is going to pull the troops out, he has also been planning an attack on Iran before he leaves office, which could trigger a serious conflict with Iran thus resulting in another war. Trump only has intentions of removing troops from counties he find worthless to defend while picking up fights with those that may actually have the capability of a nuclear weapon. If that's not hawk to you then I may recommend you do some further research about Trump and his policies.
