How can democracy be promoted and encouraging growing nations to undertake free elections when one of the most powerful leaders in the world behaves this way.

You are right. It doesn't look good at all, it is a disgrace to our democracy. And more appalling than Trump's behavior is the Republican's conduct. They are willing to jeopardize trust in our electoral system by delegitimizing a fair election so they can keep control of the Senate. Such a hungry power men. I have never been so disgusted by the Republican party as I'm right now. I have no doubt that unless the Democrats win those two senate sits in Georgia, Mitch Mcconnell will be happy to continue the obstructionist role that he loved playing during Obama's presidencies.

I have always prided myself on being pretty reasonable. That I am open minded and look at things from the others' perspective. No matter the topic, sports, politics, etc, we are not always right and the other side wrong.

But I am done with the GOP. I am done with giving Republicans the benefit of the doubt. They not only elected this piece of crap president knowing he was a piece of crap, but support him no matter what. Always an excuse for everything he does. They have put him ahead of scientists, scholars, credible journalists, doctors, and now they put him ahead of pur democracy. One man has led them to doubt our democracy.

And when he loses his lawsuits and ends up in jail, they'll doubt our judicial system too. He is never wrong. If someone criticizes him, fake news. if he loses, cheating. He can do no wrong.

And the people support putting him ahead of America. The Republicans in Congress play along just to play nice to his base. No one stands up to him.
