To some extent that’s always been true. In large part due to strong religious ties, there are certain areas that have always had very regressive views with regards to anyone who isn’t a straight, white man. IMO what’s making it seem so much worse at the current moment is that those areas of the country have managed to work the institutions of government to their advantage and hold the rest of the country hostage from making much needed, and widely desired, progress. The really disappointing thing is that unless something truly unexpected happens with the Supreme Court nomination, it’s very likely that in the coming months we will see hard won progress on LGBT rights set back by ten years and women’s rights set back by half a century.
If one of the maga dopes were on they would still blame Obama and tell you he started it etc...
Its not like I'm proud of my fellow Englishman either like.
