Our calamity of a president dared to call Dr. Fauci a disaster. Does he even know the meaning of the word? He must not otherwise he would know that if there is a person that has had unfortunate consequences to our country it is him. He is the great disaster that we been having to deal with for far too long, but hopefully no more after January.

Take the WH, Senate and House then increase the size of the Supreme Court and pack it with liberals, and completlely obliterate the GOP - who'd deserve it for hiding behind the convenient shield the loony Trump has given them.

They'd have to increase the Supreme Court, just in the interests of fairness - and thanks to what they've done and said (such as Lindsay Graham confirming himself as the toad-faced hypocritical gobshite he is) the Dems can defend the decision easily.

That said, it just means whenever the Presidency changes hands, unless the new President shows restraint, they'd always "pack the court" with their own nominees ad nauseum from now on until you have absurd numbers.

But again, what choice does Biden have - he's simply reacting to disgusting behaviour from the Republicans on this who simply aren't playing the game fairly.

Well it's that type of tit-for-tat that you'd think would temper the ambitions of the conservative right and the GOP.

To be honest, I don't think he'll pack the court if elected.
But he won't take packing the court off the table as it's good leverage.
If Dems control the Executive and legislative branches, they can keep the Judicial branch in check with the threat of ending the conservative majority.
What they will do is push for statehood for PR and DC, this would likely give the democrats 4 more senate seats and help with ending the filibuster.

Actually not. They can "pack the courts" but I've read it requires both houses to agree as well. As in it needs all 3 parts. All Democrats need to do is repeal that act from 1914 that limits the number in the house of reps and that would never happen again.

I think they are going to have to codify some things that we have in the past left to the assumption of elected officials staying within traditions and acting in good faith.
For example, what McConnell did with the SCOTUS and judicial nominees in general was all legal/constitutional during Obama's admin. Abhorrent (and other things I can't say even in CA), but legal.
