It's well within his locker to be a stunt. When you see the polls started to turn against him after that 1st debate, I suspect all bets are off in his thinking. He doesn't play by the same rules.

The flip of it is though, is he could have it, and actually be a fair bit more ill than he says. You wouldn't proscribe that drug to someone who was essentially fine. I mean the possibilities with Trump are very wide currently!

There is nothing you can say that will convince me that someone with an id like Trump pretended to get Covid.

Trump wouldn't see a story about winners and losers he'd told previously get in the way of positioning his experience as the fall and rise again of Donald J Trump.

These shenanigans (if that's what they are) can easily and logically be seen as his only remaining shot.

I'm not going to get all tin foil hat over this; I just see it as more viable than others.

If he's going about normal duties soon and campaigning (and Biden sounded today like he was preparing to face him for debate 2) then I cant accept he's had Covid19.

I know you and Birkenhead Blue are on firmer ground here. I recognise that. I just cant be reconciled with this story on the grounds of A) its timing and B) the apparent rude health of this old, obese man with a serious underlying health problem.

Exactly. If not for that reporter from Bloomberg finding out that Hope Hicks had tested positive, the WH would probably have tried to totally keep a lid on it. Once her positive test was out there though, there was no stopping it.
