It is.I thought the debate was on Tuesday ?
Theres nowt you can say to sway these people

Smart that his niece is suing him for fraud now, while there might still be something left to get from him.Not his base, obviously. They're a long last cause. However, if what the NYT is reporting is true, it may have an actual impact with some of the persuadable middle class voters in some of the midwestern swing states who had their taxes raised a couple years ago so he could give himself and his millionaire friends another massive tax break.
I wouldn't describe any of this as shocking though. Lots of people have long speculated that he was going to such great lengths to have his tax returns remain private to either conceal the fact that he paid little to no taxes or wasn't anywhere near as rich as he claimed to be. Turns out it was both.

I’m not sure trying to impeach him again, even to hold up the Supreme Court Justice, is the best move politically right now. It could play into the narrative that the Democrats still won’t accept the results from 2016 and allow him go back to playing the victim. At this point, I’m fine with...find proof of him fabricating tax deductions
impeach him for breaking the law
tie the senate up in impeachment proceedings
delay judge confirmation
vote him out
flip the senate
reject his nomination
send him to jail

-let him have his judge, and the Republicans get the blowback for ramming it through
-vote him out
-flip the Senate
-hold the House
-expand the court next year to balance things out
-give DC and Puerto Rico statehood if they so desire
I’m less certain about what I want to become of him if/when he leaves the White House. It’s tempting to want the full force of the justice system brought down on him, but with his millions of run of the mill cult followers, plus the Qanon crazies, I don’t want a situation where he becomes a martyr for their cause. I just want him to “fade into bolivian” as Mike Tyson once said.
I’d rather face the blowback from actions taken AFTER the voters give them a mandate to govern as opposed to risking what looks like is going to be solid win in November. As things currently stand, the Republican Party has managed to craft a structure that enables them to maintain power in spite of being not only a minority, but a rapidly shrinking one. They are effectively holding the nation hostage from making any progress, and that has to change. Some of the changes I listed would help to level the playing field. Even if that does leave a bad taste in some people’s mouth, I think the GOP would still have to moderate itself to court those people. As demographics continue to shift there is less and less of a long term future for a party whose core platform right now seems to be making the already rich richer and treating anyone who isn’t a straight white man as a second class citizen. It’s either impeach him again and face the blowback or add 4/seats to the SCOTUS and face that blowback. With Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi in charge, the Dems won’t do either.
Rustbelt states will go Biden now surely....Not his base, obviously. They're a long last cause.
