He's like a big child. Twitter is going to be hilarious with him.

true I find him amusing to be honest, in a sort of I cant believe they did it put you in charge,
strangely I can see him doing ok economically and getting a lot more popular in the USA as time goes on.

Unfortunately he's also a massive bully.

I'm prepared to wait and see what he does domestically and internationally (he's been so all over the place in his statements it's hard to know if he is a right wing extremist or protectionist socialist) but I cant support how he is personally.

Meh, I don't like either him or Meryl Streep

Her comments about sports and MMA show she is in as much a bubble as Trump is, and her self satisfied manner is sickening

Streep raised the subject while talking about the rewards diversity has brought to Hollywood. “If we kick [foreigners] out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts – which are not the arts,”

Credit to Scott Coker for his measured and eloquent response though

“I’m a lifelong fan of your work but also a lifelong martial artist who happens to promote mixed martial arts around the world,” Coker wrote in a post on Twitter.

“The global sport of mixed martial arts celebrates male and female athletes from all around the world who work years tirelessly honing their craft and– yes – art. They come from every country and every walk of life. We at Bellator support them and honor their skill.

“Please be my guest at the LA Forum on January 21st and you will see that mixed martial arts is truly artistic – which will feature fighters from all over the world competing at a world class level.”

Yea, Streep is in a bubble but she was addressing all her colleagues in said bubble. I dont agree with her views on what is or is not art but thats an aside. She correctly called out the future president and for that, fair play to her.
He retorted by calling her 'over rated'. He just never seems to get it right.
What bothers me is that the people on the right are standing by him while he systematically does everything they moaned about for the last eight years.
I mean, for Christ sake, he mocked the disability of a person, from the podium, to gain favor. How anyone can think he's suitable for the job is beyond me.
On a personal level, it has already made life hard. I realize it's my problem but I respected friends and work colleagues who voted for GW Bush. I disagreed with them but still respected them. I have lost respect for the people I know who voted for Trump.

But he's a character, which makes it ok.

Kinda like how Farage has seemingly gotten away with being an utter meff.

He'll be fine. They've had Carter, Reagan, a couple of Bush's, Clinton and Obama, most of whom were a waste of space and achieved very little, he doesn't have a lot to live up to........

Did you ask them why they voted for him ?......

What's infuriating is that Trump supporters mistake those who are against him as "not liking his politics" or as some sort of "political" assault. The issue is that we don't like him b/c he's a sideshow clown. He doesn't have any politics. He's an embarrassment to civilization. It's why you still had respect to Bush supporters, at least that decision was one based on his and their politics.

But since when is it acceptable for our politicians to be merely "characters"? This planet is in real trouble in this age of Twitter, everyone looking for their 15 minutes and the sideshow. There are serious issues that need addressing, and people are treating everything like it's a joke.

With what's happening, you can now plainly see how Rome fell.

Did you ask them why they voted for him ?......
yup.

There are a few who will always vote red no matter who runs.
There are a few that hated Hillary Clinton with the kind of venom I haven't seen before
There are a few who liked what he said about Mexico paying for a wall along with other ridiculous claims
There are a few who agreed with his stance on Trade and TTP
There are a few who blame the democrats for the gridlock on the hill and think he'll drain the swamp.
Most are a combination of some of those.

Some friends were sharing info wars links on my Facebook page, reasonable people sharing what Alex Jones has to say.
Economically, there's a slim chance he might do ok but for me, the office is a whole lot more than that.
His inexperience with foreign affairs scares me but most of all his demeanor and attitude are no where near befitting of the office.
He's already making a mockery of the roll.

.... and it is thinking like that which has brought us to this silly pass. When people are given respect for having politics of that kind, its better to not have any politics at all.

Quite the opposite, I respected these people in spite of their political views because usually there is more to a person than their political beliefs but Trump transcends politics in a scary way. He uses distraction and fear to bypass the normal political system. This is what draws the Rome analogies.

He's like a big child. Twitter is going to be hilarious with him.

Can't wait until he gets into it with North Korean official twitter

Of course,
