Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

I happen to dislike HRC too, but the fact is that she did win the popular vote.

I remember when I was given the opportunity to talk to a holocaust survivor when I was 7.

I remember her telling me if you said nothing, no harm would happen to you.

If you had any doubts about where the country was going, no price would have to be paid if you kept schtum.

It begins with seemingly innocent rhetoric, a few jokes here and there, before spiraling down into a dark void of hatred and despotism.

Never again, we said.
It has never been about popular vote. End of discussion. It's like Kopites saying we won the possession after defeat.

It is very unedifying that the President-elect of the USA is so personally insecure that he has to jump on Twitter to get back at anyone who is critical of him.

A Head of State and Government, as he will be, simply has to rise above it and show some decorum.

I'm amazed that his day isn't so full of demands already that he has time to devote a second to Twitter.

His continuous divisive rhetoric, denial when he is wrong, cabinet picks, and stoking of the media circus do not bode well at all for someone with such an enormous level of responsibility.

I think he'll remain in election mode for his full term, speaking to grinning audiences, and avoiding do anything of note.

He will be a massive disappointment to those who elected him.

But it's a fact.

It's also a fact that the US has voted in a racist, misogynist idiot as president.

And furthermore, it's also a fact that people are free (for now) to oppose him.

I would not have voted for him myself as I could not vote for anyone with the qualities you describe but I have little doubt that he won fairly, under the electoral college rules that exist or that (as has said) had the President been decided on the popular vote, that he would have campaigned differently and won that too.

Bush v Gore all those years ago was IMO a massive stich-up. Trump beat Clinton fairly according to the rules

I didn't say anything on the contrary.

My argument is that people are arguing against what he stands for.

Meh, I don't like either him or Meryl Streep

Her comments about sports and MMA show she is in as much a bubble as Trump is, and her self satisfied manner is sickening

Streep raised the subject while talking about the rewards diversity has brought to Hollywood. “If we kick [foreigners] out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts – which are not the arts,”

Credit to Scott Coker for his measured and eloquent response though

“I’m a lifelong fan of your work but also a lifelong martial artist who happens to promote mixed martial arts around the world,” Coker wrote in a post on Twitter.

“The global sport of mixed martial arts celebrates male and female athletes from all around the world who work years tirelessly honing their craft and– yes – art. They come from every country and every walk of life. We at Bellator support them and honor their skill.

“Please be my guest at the LA Forum on January 21st and you will see that mixed martial arts is truly artistic – which will feature fighters from all over the world competing at a world class level.”

One being a actress, speaking on behalf of herself - the other being the President Elect of the world's single superpower.

Hey, an arrogant self important biff is an arrogant self important biff, regardless of their social standing or where they stand on the political spectrum

Basically, Scott Coker > Both Streep and Trump (And also Dana White who also threw a hissy fit)

His response was respectful, eloquent and measured in a way that neither Trump or Streep are capable of IMO, so he "wins"
