That could well be true for all I know, but your original assertion was that he was keeping the public well informed with his daily press briefings which, to me, look like a deranged man:

• Constantly railing against the press as if he's the only politician in the world being criticized for his performance
• Talking about how great his ratings are
• Accusing healthcare workers of stealing supplies
• Rambling on about the deep state and Obama
• Veering wildly between blaming China and being their best friend
• Saying it's all under control then eventually admitting that keeping the numbers to 100,000 would be good work
• Promoting untested and unregulated treatments
• Going completely off-piste generally and letting Doctor Fauci clean up the communications mess he's made

I don't know, maybe the videos of him are being edited in a way that makes him look like a completely unlettered moron who is massively out of his depth?

Yeah my buddy at the BR location just received over 100 vents, N95 mask, gowns etc. New Orleans is hit so bad cause of Mardi Gras. Just large amounts of people for weeks and weeks. Crazy stuff. The people of New Orleans are still having "lines" going down the street, partying, etc. Just absolutely absurd

In the past couple weeks, Louisiana has requested 12,000 ventilators from various sources and only procured 192, Edwards said. Last week, the governor said he had asked for 5,000 ventilators from the federal stockpile and received zero.

Brother in law lives in bayou St. John (was there in feb). He seems to be saying despite a slow start, the people are doing a good job of social distancing. The city however is woefully under prepared and supplies are way too low.
it’s looking increasingly like the federal government is deserting New Orleans in it’s time of need...again.
