so far in this crisis he has

- disbanded the pandemic response department
- waited way too long to act
- Constantly underplayed the seriousness of the problem
- Caused panic by declaring travel restrictions without having airports prepared
- Enacted a disjointed travel ban on travel to the EU then UK and Ireland
- Said people were fine going to work with the virus
- Went golfing in february
- Shipped 8 tonnes of PPE to China in February
- Stood on stage huddled with industry leaders and shook all their hands
- Blamed China, Europe, Obama, the Democrats and the Media for the crisis
- Sarcastically mocked Romney for needing a test
- Accused nurses of stealing/hoarding PPE
- Publicly fought with governors demanding appreciation
- lambasted reporters asking reasonable questions
- promised a website that has failed to materialize
- promised tests for anyone who wants one
- lied about simple facts like the population of Seoul
- pushed to end social distancing dangerously early
- Caused a nightmare for Asian Americans by calling it the Chinese Virus
- Said there would be county by county guidelines now switched to federal guidelines
- Released contradictory information to the CDC
- Called for an end to partizan bickering but immediately started insulting individual Democrats
- suggested that the cure was worse than the disease.

And still, people like grinch and a whole chunk of this country think he's doing a fine job.
He's literally killing people on 5th avenue.

And as he accurately predicted, all to the sound of applause from his base.

Everything you listed is bad, but accusing nurses of stealing PPE to sell on the black market, and having the states basically compete with one another on the open market for life saving supplies, and giving priority treatment to governors who grovel at his feet are particularly heinous.

I honestly think hes doing a pretty good job of keeping the moral, public informed through daily press meetings, etc.

I’m 30 seconds in, and the second guy they talked to literally says “Barack Obama had big part of 9/11.” These interviews were done in Ohio. Thanks to our stupid electoral system, that man’s vote is effectively worth more than mine. Good grief.

he had his own show for a while. Think it was mostly about gun control, didn't do great (but was a good show)
was a stand in daly show host for a while, again, didn't do great.

Anecdotally, there are wide differences, and they do not appear to follow discernible political or geographic lines. Democratic-leaning Massachusetts, which has had a serious outbreak in Boston, has received 17 percent of the protective gear it requested, according to state leaders. Maine requested a half-million N95 specialized protective masks and received 25,558 — about 5 percent of what it sought. The shipment delivered to Colorado — 49,000 N95 masks, 115,000 surgical masks and other supplies — would be “enough for only one full day of statewide operations,” Rep. Scott R. Tipton (R-Colo.) told the White House in a letter several days ago.

Florida has been an exception in its dealings with the stockpile: The state submitted a request on March 11 for 430,000 surgical masks, 180,000 N95 respirators, 82,000 face shields and 238,000 gloves, among other supplies — and received a shipment with everything three days later, according to figures from the state’s Division of Emergency Management. It received an identical shipment on March 23, according to the division, and is awaiting a third.

Sorry grinch but I find this hard to believe, my wife is an NP here in Boston, her cousins are both doctors in Houston. (I'm pretty sure you're in Texas. She has provider friends all over the country and from what I hear, none of them are sufficiently supplied.

edit. Louisiana, her brother lives in NOLA and no one is sufficiently supplied there. The growth rate is scary.

That could well be true for all I know, but your original assertion was that he was keeping the public well informed with his daily press briefings which, to me, look like a deranged man:

• Constantly railing against the press as if he's the only politician in the world being criticized for his performance
• Talking about how great his ratings are
• Accusing healthcare workers of stealing supplies
• Rambling on about the deep state and Obama
• Veering wildly between blaming China and being their best friend
• Saying it's all under control then eventually admitting that keeping the numbers to 100,000 would be good work
• Promoting untested and unregulated treatments
• Going completely off-piste generally and letting Doctor Fauci clean up the communications mess he's made

I don't know, maybe the videos of him are being edited in a way that makes him look like a completely unlettered moron who is massively out of his depth?
