Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

that's not surprising.
What I kinda do find surprising it that that transcript was just an approximation of how the call went.
There were something like 9 people listening to this call. How is there not a recording of it. How can we not hear what was said word for word.
There probably is a recording of it somewhere that will come out eventually. Lt Vindman testified that there were key details omitted in the transcript so it wouldn’t be surprising if the call itself was even more damning than the transcript which was bad enough.

Mitch McConnell will be the biggest villain at the end of the day for me. He has ruined our democracy. The Senate is meant for the adults to be present in the room. This is where the hard work is done and compromise is achieved.

McConnell has chosen to make it a tiny little house. Our country should never forgive him for saying his #1 goal in his office was to make Obama a one term president.

The Senate has to be bigger than that to function properly.

50/50 votes in the Senate have no place. It ruins democracy. They are supposed to be better than than. 60/40 makes sure that most Americans are represented in a Republic.

His damage might be irreparable.

Whew boy

Blaming McConnell for the nuclear option is...rich.

Initiated once? What does that mean? He changed a long standing rule that was at the heart of your romanticized view of the old Senate.

Decency in Congress is dead and probably has been for longer than you think.

It was initiated once by Harry Reid to get some judges confirmed but specifically not SC justices confirmed. McConnell may have not opened Pandora's Box, but he most certainly has removed the box entirely and thrown it in the bin.

I'm just not sure what your proposed solution would be. GOP restraint after the absence of same by Reid? Not expanding the option to Gorsuch despite dealing with the same purported obstinacy that Reid claimed he confronted?

The real miscalculation is permitting the complete overhaul of the federal judiciary while the Democrats have disingenuously gone after the President with claims that do not resound with the public. FWIW, I'm not weighing in on whether the claims have merit. I'm attacking the Democrats for pretending they care about what's meritorious and what isn't. Plenty of stakeholders and pundits and citizens may have very firmly held and sound beliefs about what Trump is or isn't doing to the country, but I do not for a second believe (and neither should you) that Pelosi, Schiff, et al are among them.

It's a false equivalency to compare Reid's actions to McConnell's. Reid recognized that the Supreme Court was sacred.

Surely you don't believe the latter. He didn't need it for SCOTUS. The idea that Harry Reid revered the Senate's sacred order as apparently you do is silly.

Regardless, this began with your scolding of McConnell on a very broad level that certainly appeared to extend far beyond Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. Who did what and which is worse isn't of much interest to me, but clarifying where this began seems relevant as it was curiously omitted.
