like I said, im a registered independent. I dont go into anything with a preset opinion. Live in a Red state, voted for both ways. I don't care who anything is about but I can be swayed is hard evidence is presented. All I will state on the situation. Have a fantastic rest of your day.

But... there IS hard evidence. Trump himself released a transcript that SHOWED him breaking the law.

And today you got to hear two long term diplomats explaining what happened and why it's bad.

Then you had the other party spending their time spouting conspiracy theories about how it was actually the Ukrainians and not the Russians who interfered with the 2016 election...

Unless you were expecting a video recording of Trump discussing how he was withholding the aid to get the Ukrainians to investigate Joe Biden, I'm not sure how much more evidence you were hoping for.

This is purely to convince the obtuse, heads in the sands Republicans at this point that he is in fact guilty.

We're effectively at the point where we've got video of someone robbing the bank and holding his ID up to the camera, and yet we're bringing in the little old lady who was in there cashing her pension at the time to testify, because some people are complaining the video isn't in 4k

One key difference is that the ones defending the president have not been under oath. The only person who was under oath and initially said there was no conditional link between giving the aid and opening investigation into the Bidens (Sondland) changed his testimony to match Taylor after he had “refreshed his recollection”.

It would be powerful testimony if say Mulvaney, Bolton or Perry testified that the aid holdup had nothing to do with demanding investigations into the Bidens - but they aren’t doing that and apparently have no intent to.

Well they didn't start an impeachment process over ten counts of obstruction of justice in the Mueller report.
They didn't start an impeachment process over multiple counts of violating the emoluments clause
They didn't start an impeachment process over putting kids in cages at the border
They didn't start an impeachment process over him violating campaign finance law to pay off Stormy Daniels

I think it's pretty safe to say they wouldn't impeach him over eating someone's sandwiches.

This administration has really killed my ability to participate in sarcasm and hyperbole

It's the old thing off if you.have nothing to hide speak up otherwise you are hiding something and or are guilty.

This is the worst tactic in my opinion Trump does with everything. Having his people say nothing or not show up.

It quickly made me regret voting for him and see through him.

Clean hands and all of that. If you truly believe someone is being framed or is innocent your testimony would absolve them.

Just like the taxes if you are so great and so rich well then you have nothing to hide and show them.

The only people that obstruct and plead the 5th are guilty people. That is a fact. Many a lawyer and judge has said this time and time again. Not just with trump but with all cases historically.

Sad state of affairs. What's worse is. For my party the GOP what they dont see is they have effectively ruined impeachment if they dont find him guilty. Next time they try it on a Democrat they better hope to control everything.

Oddly they dont see how he is ruining the party. Its very disjointed now. But of course people will point at the left and say they are worse like that makes it better.

Think about the crackpot candidates we will now get on the right long after Trump. He has awoken the fringe and the racists

Scary thing is... that really ISN'T their position.

It probably SHOULD be their postition (if we take actually removing him from office off the table). That position would at least show a LITTLE courage, saying that it was wrong, but doesn't rise to the level of removal from office...

The problem is, Trump won't tolerate even that minor level of dissent... so what their position ACTUALLY is, is that Trump did absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever, and anyone who says otherwise is to be discredited and attacked.

Answer me this please American blues. In the great land of free and independent citizens what is it with everyone declaring as Republicans, Democrats or independents? Is there a law requiring such identification? Surely its nobodys business but your own?
