I thought Lagarde was being rude tbh. Whether Ivanka should have been in the room at all is another matter, but as she is there then she is entitled to be treated in a courteous manner. If Prince Harry had walked in Lagarde would have been fawning all over him. Political snobbery at its finest......

You can’t see the absolutely ridiculous nature of this? Theres the political Premier League babysitting the daughter of an absolute buffoon who has no right whatsoever to be there.

Its mind boggling.

I agree actually. I'm no fan of Trump, but I haven't liked the coverage of this at all

But she was there and there’s no need to be rude, impolite or sneering......

So when some supporter runs out onto the pitch during a match, what position should he play?

??? I didn't post that mate
Sorry, I don't know how that happened.

I thought I was responding to this:

Why not? Politics isn’t a “bring your kid to work day” and international diplomacy isn’t a no contact sport.

If Ivanka had limited things to the standard ceremonial involvement I’d agree that any rudeness would have been out of place. But she and Jarad clearly want more than that so why the expectation that the ceremonial deference still applies?
