I don’t give a damn what you call the camps, I care what is going on in them.

The article I quoted had lawyers who recently visited a camp reporting that children were having to care for toddlers and multiple children were sick and without basic facilities to wash or decent food to eat. This is on top of government lawyers arguing in court the Flores agreement did not mean that they are required to give detained kids beds, adequate heating or soap and toothbrushes.

These are KIDS ffs, this should be abhorrent whatever your politics or whatever guy is president.

Did you care when similar was happening under Obama? Did those lawyers, who're mostly their for political reasons? And don't the parents of these kids have a responsibility, too? Just because you're poor, you don't have the right to come to America. That's the ultimate problem here - America lets in more immigrants that any other country in the world, the numbers are ridiculous, but there has to be a system, you can't just say to rest of the world: just show up at the boarder or jump on a plane, no questions asked. And if you think that's selfish or whatever, next time you see a homeless person on the street, give him or her your wallet, take him to back to your house and give him your spare room

The NRA spends time, energy and millions convincing those nations to lax their gun laws even though most of them don't have laws to begin with..... Guatemala government traced 49% of the guns used in crimes to the US in the last 2 or 3 years.

Are you for real? Building a fecking wall is not reform. Aren't you an immigrant? so you know how many hoops you had to jump through to get in. We all do. The US and Australia are two of the toughest countries to get into legally. both have already efficient systems. What the US needs is to fix and reform the visas and temporary visas that most people don't think about.

Firstly Trump does not support DACA so that's a lie. He only supported it if the Democrats agreed with his funding and when they rejected the wall funding he pointed fingers. He had already tried deporting DACA recipients. In fact several hundred are still waiting to get back into the country having been deported by his admin.

The cost to build the wall at its current price ( which is even too low) is way more than it would be to spend that money on treating asylum seekers and migrants properly.

Also a wall will do nothing. It's nothing more than a symbol. It will give idiots ease like yourself but in reality offer no actual prevention. It would actually technically put people out of work too. Like you mentioned although you said the "rest" in actual fact the majority of illegals crossed the borders in this country legally at one time.

They crossed on tourist visas or those short term working visas like the ones trump uses for his staff at his golf courses. They also stay illegally on student visas. Like i said above these need fixing.

There is no good way of fixing the tourist visa one if someone decides to go into the shadows like you put it. They tried in the early 2000's using spare FBI agents to hunt them down but that was costly.

The current amount offered by congress isn't even close to being enough not even to do 5 or 6 miles. Even the number Trump last quoted isn't enough. What he has done also was redirect funds needed elsewhere for other programs. He has even tried taking from the military at a time he is threatening to start a war in the middle east.

Even if they started now he probably wont be in office (even if you include a second term) before it would be finished or scrapped due to lack of funds.

Apart for those lick ar*** in San Diego's border patrol and those other cities who pandered to him they all know the majority of the illegals cross the borders legally at one time. Same goes for the drugs coming into the country. The drug dealers and traffickers laugh at him and this dumb crap.

This country is so lost. I post on my American Football board and get destroyed for my opinions. I brought this up and was told that the solution was easy, tell the toddlers to walk the other way.

I mentioned how stupid that post was and how these kids aren't making the decision, an American child wouldn't be blamed for doing what their parents told them to at that age.

All I got was insults. The lack of seeing humanity in other people is at an all time low in my lifetime. I really don't know how it changes.
