he'll get nowhere near the nomination.
The only reason he got so far last time was because of his competition, not the case this cycle.
Still tho, he laid the bedrock for some great policies that are common place now, so for that, thanks Bernie.

Agreed the field is larger and there are just as many solid if not better candidates in the eyes of the left.

Considering Bernie feels the same way about the Dem party as @Death does, which Bernie himself admitted and alluded too many times and was critical of in the last election run up they wil hope one of the other 16 will make the cut.

He is a leftie is Bernie but he does not appeal to many Democrats.

The highlighted, sorry what? haha!

No one put too much emphasis on the racist thing.

most agree he was able to reach the working class but like i said his platform was on fear. Out of that fear bore the racist element and then the comments from him and his admin once he got elected confirmed that he is a bigot and racist.

Trying to ban Muslim's and brown skinned immigrants and things like walls.

He promised those "working class" that he would drain the swamp and bring back industries that are dead, moved or using automation.

Of course he sound good to them.

He has yet to deliver on most of that and hes a sound board still for bigotry and racism.

But wasn't it a close election and shouldn't. The Dems who were never going to reach the bigots and racists who are a minority anyway and if the working class were happy with what the Democrats served up why would they be so desperate to go with Trump. Which swung it.

So there's better candidates than bernie this time around?

yup,
Sanders press secretary voted for Jill Stein in 2016, he'll get torn apart. He'd be 82 at the end of his first term if he got elected.
He has good ideas but he's past his sell by date now.
I voted for him in the primaries last time, don't know anyone planning on voting for him this time round.

Ok so that's twice you mentioned minority but the first time you said "we're". I'm confused were you saying before you as a socialist when you said this

" I think people but too much emphasis on him reaching the bigots racists etc. I think we're a loud minority "

Also no one is disagreeing on the working class thing. Clinton wasn't popular either. Now you know it wasn't close. By actual votes Clinton won by a good what 2 or 3 mill. He won virtue of the electoral college because he took more states.

Clinton was never going to reach the working class. She might as well have been a conservative.

You realise although their are those in the Democratic party who are similar too Clinton there are a much more diverse group of candidates now.

You are talking apples and oranges really comparing now to then.

The midterms proved that a lot of areas are fed up with how he is running the country and diverse candidates were very popular.

Also picking up on how you answered someone e else i am surprised you don't know anything about any of the candidates. Seems very close minded to bash a party then to know nothing about the running candidates.

Anyone who has half a brain should wipe the floor with Trump in the debates. Should be an absolute bloodbath.

I dono most of them seem fake and disingenuous and rightfully so they are personality flaws that trump can jump on. If bernie was a conservative or a fake left winger such as his established party he'd get absolutely nowhere. He's not a charmer or charismatic (con man traits). But it's the things he is saying that transcends that.

And who are those then?

Ten minutes ago you didnt even know how many other candidates were running. Or who they are.

Thats some extensive research to come to the conclusion that they are "fake and dangerous".

Some are pro capitalist. Some have financial thighs with corporations. And they some are copying stances bernie was campaigning when he was ridiculed for last election.
Ok well being a capitalist doesn’t make you “fake and disingenuous”, but either way you’ve not answered the question

But I’m genuinely interested, there’s ~20 candidates and you said “most” seem fake and disingenuous...

So who are the 11 (at an absolute minimum) who fit that description.

Thats how politics works haha

Other politicans can agree on certain ideas as policies as other and may even run on them.

Especially if the person they are running against is on the same party for the upcoming election. Remember Bernie could have run as an independent if he wanted. He chose not too.

Many of Bernies ideas are good enough that the younger democrats want traction on some of them. Some of his ideas were probably someone elses before him. Many of the dems share the same values and ideals as Bernie. Maybe not so much the socialist part. Its what gave him traction against clinton.

So many of the candidates may simply agree with Sanders and are letting their voters know they too will implement said idea if they can.

Again thats politics. It does not make all fake and disingenuous.

I don't remember saying didnt how many but anyway I have seen some of what they have to say and I noticed a few from this bunch are more socialist like bernie was before it was cool so to speak. And others are establishment and/or fake. Don't get me wrong I'm not an expert on the other runners. And I'm not saying everyone. Maybe you have someone in mind.
