Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Anti-conservative.
I’m far more anti (current day) Republican and anti (big C) Conservative than I am anti (small c) conservative.

Conservatism isn’t the optimum form of government in my opinion, but it is a legitimate form of it. But the simultaneous bas*ardisation and distillation of it that those two current parties practice, along with their revolting embrace of the alt-right and similar mindsets is a stain on international politics.

So a conspiracy then ?
No. A simple stating of fact, counter to the implied opposite in the comment to which I replied.

Prediction: the same people who today are gloating about the Barr summary, who last week were calling the investigation a "hoax" and the investigators partisan hacks, will be back to attacking the report and the investigators when the full report is released and parallel investigations reveal more details.

News cycle whack-a-mole is so tedious.

The more you think about the Barr report, the more bizarre questions jump out...

  1. Why did so many people lie about issues regarding Russia?
  2. How were these decisions reached without interviewing Don Jr, Kushner etc?
  3. Why did Jared Kushner try to set up a back channel to Russia?
  4. Why did Paul Manafort hand private polling info to a Russian FSB asset?
  5. Why did the campaign change the GOP platform to be more friendly to Russia?
  6. Which senior campaign official instructed Roger Stone to reach out to Wikileaks?
  7. What happened to the Jerome Corsi charges?
  8. How narrowly did Mueller interpret his remit? (Did it include quid-pro-quo actions? Trump Tower meeting etc)
  9. Why did Trump spend 2 years denigrating the investigation if he knew he was innocent?
  10. Why did Trump continue to parrot the Russian line of "no interference" for MONTHS after he had been informed that the Russians were responsible for the interference? Including standing alongside Putin in Helsinki.
  11. Why did the campaign have no intention of firing Michael Flynn until he resigned of his own accord (which Trump then took credit for)?
That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure there's dozens more.

This is how I feel too. I have no problem with the Republican party as it existed up to some point when McConnell was playing his obstruction games with Obama. I think the Garland thing was the final time I respected them. Hitching their wagon to Trump has made me actively dislike them.

I'm fairly sure Muller worked his way up through Trumps cohort untill he hit family.
Indicting Trump while he's POTUS would be next to impossible while indicting family members would have meant two more years of squabbling and a trip to a stacked supreme court. Basically Muller got as far as he could go before serious road blocks were put in place.
He hit these road blocks and couldn't prove collusion or obstruction.
So he handed what he had off to regional state attorney generals who are carrying out other investigations, in a hope of circumventing these road blocks.
The report is being held back as Barr tries to figure out how to get away with redacting everything that shows that Mulller was cut short.
Unfortunately we'll have to wait for Trump to leave office before he gets indicted.
He's not gonna go quietly!

You sound like you're really struggling to accept the reality of it all. I'm but a mere PM away if you need to talk about things. lol

I bet you when you get the answers you'll still refuse to believe he's innocent of the lies told about him. Nailed on!

I just want to know why people want to believe the worst about him and that he's guilty ?

I don't believe he is a saint, and feel he has plenty of improvement both as a political figure and in relation to some policies etc, but it's amazing how many want him to fail so badly.

I would have been delighted if he had changed his character after election and behaved in a manner more appropriate.

He didn’t, and I’m not going to pretend he did.

A very wise post. I don't know you, but I like you. ;)
