The Dems give him an out by compromising on the wall funding.
He can now say they gave me "some" so I should be able to have it all, because it's a national emergency to only build "some" of the wall as it'd be a waste of money if not built in full.
In my view, the Dems buckled needlessly on this. Trump was on the ropes and they gave him a way out.
he would have called the emergency one way or the other, this way the dems have shown a willingness to compromise, got a deal done and highlited the needlessness of a national emergency.
They did their job and I don't think they'll get a hard time for that.
