but last night was just depressing.
In fact the SOTU is always depressing and should be changed or done away with.
Everyone brings a guest who's plight will harness the most political points.
- My child with cancer and mass shooting survivor beats your hungry single mother and social justice warrior.
- And now apparently we're going to invade Venezuela because socialism - cut to grumpy Sanders - cue elected reps chanting USA with glee.
- Next breath, we've a great relationship with a communist dictator, l'm gonna meet him soon, lets hope it gets better.
- Lets work hand in hand with the democrats who, if they were in power, would 100% have started a war with N.Korea.
Absolute drivel and a stain on this country.

I had to switch off after about fifteen minutes.....all those “standing ovations” totally diluted the gesture for any that were actually merited.

Like a lot of articles he posts I'm left bemused to what the point was
I lasted about 40 seconds before I muted it. Netflix was switched off and it went back to normal TV, something dumb was said and there was a standing ovation. Is it generally just a propaganda piece? Never tried to watch it as it seems pointless.
When they started chanting USA, USA it was without a doubt the most cringeworthy political moment I can remember watching on TV. Kopite behaviour, that.
