I think he's more concerned about how poor the saudi cover up is.
This is the kind of thing that would cause outrage normally but wont be noticed.

This isn't about sides, this is dangerous.
Maybe you don't see it from Germany, that's ok, millions here dont see it.

Not perfectly phrased and not voluntarily brought up as worthy of criticism at one of his rallies (that body language looks like I did when I had my tooth drilled yesterday), but it sure is a lot closer to it than he has come before which is welcome!
By the way what do you think of Trump's relationship with the Saudi's - both currently with Khashoggi's murder/cover up and more broadly with selling arms to Saudi's which they then use in Yemen? Do you think the US should stop selling arms to them?

by all the gods yes! i'm aggressively anti-war and anti US military policy in especially Arab lands. The untold thousands of poor innocent Arab civilian deaths caused by US & US-backed bombs is one of the biggest horrors of the 21st century.
I was perhaps naively hoping it would get better under a 'businessman' President but not much has changed since Clinton's era of bombing Iraq years after the 1st Gulf War had ended under Bush Sr.
There's something very rotten at the heart of US Administrations and it doesn't seem to matter whether it's a Trump or Obama at the helm. It's the cause of much strife which we in Europe feel very much (refugee crisis, Brexit etc).
edit.: sadly, even Germany sell equipment to the Saudis for use in Yemen...just rotten.

He's annulled the visas of 21 Saudi officials and publicly said the Prince himself may have been involved. Pretty heavy stuff, let's be fair to him.
I’m glad he seesm to be coming round but surely you have to admit it would have been a tad more impressive if he hadn’t spent the past three weeks trying to deny the obvious including making up wild theories of “rogue killers”. As recently as three days ago he was giving interviews like this.
Less than 24 hours ago he was boasting about how much money the tariffs were bringing in!
