And the Green party get people elected as MEPs. Smaller turnouts are settled by those with the larger and committed bases.

The electoral maths make it almost impossible for another proper Republican to be elected.

That's just not true. Globalisation is to blame but simply stating things will be alright in a bit is just wrong.

What will happen is our standard of living will drop down to the level of the developing world and only when we are competitive will it begin to rise along with everyone else.

This process of managed decline is being managed by the FED by keeping interest rates low and QE. Our wages aren't rising and therefore inflation is causing them to drop in real terms which is bringing us to their level. The FED and central banks are making up the shortfall in tax receipts with free and cheap money.

Either the dollar will collapse and then the decline will be unmanaged or it will simply happen over generations until the West is no different a place than everywhere else in the world in terms of healthcare, wages, living standards and more than likely basic freedoms and social mobility.

That's because we aren't free to make our own decisions and have allowed globalist organizations like the WTO to take power.

The solution is simple. Tariffs.

Not to destroy trade completely but just to protect local workers in certain industries. In a way it would also be better for the environment as it makes very little environmental sense to ship so much across the world.

The Tariffs could then be used to lower taxes making our workers more competitive again.

This belief that free trade is always good is nonsense. It's good if you have economies all roughly the same trading with each other but just like opening the door to poor Eastern Europeans wasn't good for local workers neither is free trade.

Because we have been run by globalists who have only given us the illusion of having a democracy.

They don't care if the West's citizens are no better of than the developing world because they are citizens of the world themselves and as far as they are concerned why should someone in Britain have a better life than someone in Africa just because of where they were born.

So if their policies mean our standard of living drops but the tradeoff is that people's lives in Africa improve they are perfectly happy with that.

As far as Lloyd Blankfein is concerned they really "are doing God's work"

The problem that I don't think they have considered is as the West declines and becomes ethnically and culturally divided a united China will simply step in to the role that's been vacated. They have also not considered the very real risk of the West becoming Islamic as it no longer is able to control it's borders.

Tariffs should be used to prevent this from happening so the process doesn't cause the West's demise. The process is a noble goal but they are going too fast.

We already see Tariffs being used today. The West just has an ideological aversion to them and as a result it places the West at a strategic disadvantage.
