Stick him on the bench today. If he can hop on one leg, he's quicker and more of a threat than Rondon and psychologically it gives us a little boost having him there.

Better than having 2 keepers on that's for sure.

Can't wait til he is back. Be amazing if he can start firing right off and stay fit
These top pro footballers have certain mindsets . As stupid, as this sounds, he will be really hoping his body doesn't conk out and be eyeing up a late call up to the World Cup. This will mean having to slot a lot of goals, very quickly and regularly, which will only benefit us. Admittedly loads of caveats here! With staying fit being the big one!!

Looking forward to having him back. Personally I’d be happy with us not even considering him until the start of October (only 2 league games away). Don’t want to rush him back and see him break down again
With Maupay, it provides us the opportunity to work DCL up to match fitness and ensure we don’t aggravate this injury or any previous ones.

Will he go to the WC? In an ideal world, you hope not as it would mean he’d play for September and October, with time to recover afterwards.

No chance he goes to World Cup. Scored about 5 goals since April 2021. Toney firmly in driving seat. However, not a bad thing for us. He can come to Australia and get injured again!!

Now we have Maupay, I’m hoping we maybe give DCL a game or 2 in the U23’s/off the bench to get match fit before throwing him into the first team. Should mean he can get up to match sharpness with a reduced risk of injury
