If ready maybe 30mins on Sunday at the end. Shouldn’t walk straight back into the team, we need competition for places up front.

Now we have Maupay, I’m hoping we maybe give Dominic Calvert-Lewin a game or 2 in the U23’s/off the bench to get match fit before throwing him into the first team. Should mean he can get up to match sharpness with a reduced risk of injury

Mate the days of one of your best players running out for the reserves to get match fit went about 15 years ago

Correct. Unfortunately it’s not the same anymore and you could just as likely get an injury in a game like that, pointless. Might aswell have a behind closed doors game and throw him into that, Everton vs Everton under 17’s.

Aye all it takes in a under 23s game is one lad going in hard trying to prove a point

I don't understand do you mean he jumps to high ,as compared to Duncan Ferguson who hardly left the ground .His leap from a standing position is his strong point.

Play him against West Ham.

We cant be doing what happened last season and wait for him to get out of the treatment room.

The manager has said he's ok to resume training, so two weeks should be enough to get him a start.

If he’s had a week and a half training then he should be good to go to be in the squad on Sunday
