Yep a world class (or as close as we can get, Negredo) striker is a must. Vic is a great super sub IMO so would keep him for that role. If we go out and buy that top top striker I think it might just spell the end for jelavic. His game time would be very limited and I don't think he'd be happy to stay under those conditions, also imagine he's on a bit of a wedge! If he goes we'd need to add another striker to replace him, maybe someone early 20's who can improve.

A wide player or 2 are also needed. I don't think mirallas is a natural RW, he can also offer more playing off a striker or from the left and he seems to struggle to last 90mins. Pienaar is still very good but is getting on age wise and also tires in games. Personally would love us to bring in Donovan and another young winger (Sinclair). Donovan we know adds creativity from wide, could play RW for us no problem and free up mirallas for other roles. Sinclair adding options from the bench. SELL Naismith!

Central midfield needs quite a overhaul IMO. Fellaini is more than likely to go but if not he MUST play CM next season. Osman is 31 and IMO not a top 4 midfielder but would still be a great player in the squad/bench to replace the roles of the departing Neville & no doubt Hitz. Gibson has been a great signing and a snip at the price but he does suffer with injuries/form and has to have some genuine competition for his place. Liked the look of leroy Fer and he would offer another excellent option in CM. obviously if Fellaini does leave we would need another CM coming in too (and a good one at that)

The ACM/No.10 role has to be addressed this summer. Could that be done from whithin? Possibly...if we were to sign the players or type of players above then the likes of mirallas & Barkley could both play that role and IMO with better overall affect than Fellaini. Could also play 2 up top negredo & vic/jelavic. We need more creativity coming from that role that's for sure but in Barkley I do think we have someone capable. If Donovan was signed he can also play there. Such an important role but given some clever signings in other areas we may just have the options without buying for this posistion.

Defence is a simple one for me. Replace heitinga with lescott and try and get more game time for Oveido at LB allowing baines some rest time when needed. Get Duffy out on loan, I that means loaning someone ourselves to allow for that then so be it.

IMO we should get one more quality striker in. Why only one? Because in Mirallas we have a quality striker that I think we should stick up front. That means that we should look at a right winger and for me the top choice would be James Morrison from WBA, he has performed for a number of seasons now and being Scottish his pricetag will not be as inflated as a Scott Sinclair like English option.

Our link with Andreas Cornelius from Danish Champions FC Copenhagen is interesting. While being top scorer in Denmark does not mean anything, he has recently taken over from Bendtner in the national team. He is strong, but I'm not too sure whether he would offer anything different than Anichebe. I would take for his potential and I doubt he would be expensive - £1-2 m. at the most.

Central midfield and the lack of creativity in there is where a new manager - hopefully - will look. We all want Barkley to be our new number 10, but we need another body in there. Presumable Fellaini will be sold, and as a replacement we should look at someone like Fer or a player similar to him. I would also get James McCarthy for the DM postion - he will be as good as Keane IMO.

Osman's been a phenomenon this season. And when Barkley's come on he's looked absolutely world-class. And Seamus? Ye gods! There are no words fit to describe how amazing Seamus Coleman has been this season.

osman has been amazing, ross barkley has taken time to grow into games when he plays, seamus has been top class. but with the amount of pressure anichebe has had on him, he's performed and been a complete handful for defenders.

Pretty sensible thoughts amigo. But proven prolific strikers, particularly young ones, cost top dollar. Using Sturridge and Fletcher as a rough guide, neither Lukaku nor Benteke will be available for less than £15m - in fact I think neither will go for less than £20m. Remy's release clause makes him more affordable, but his wages are likely to be prohibitive. If Negredo is as good as some on here believe, why would he be available for any less than Lukaku or Benteke?

If we accept that the squad itself needs to become bigger, as well as there being a requirement for more quality and creativity, then what little money is available must be spent wisely, even if we bring in £30m by selling Felli. There is a chance that a better midfield will bring out more in Anichebe and Jelavic, but I don't see how better strikers will improve Gibson, Pienaar or Osman's performances; additionally midfielders generally cost a little less than strikers.

Put another way, presuming we sell Felli would you rather:

1) Sign Remy and one of either Benteke, Lukaku or Negredo; or

2) Sign Nani, Fer, Honda, Weimann and Remy?

I get ya point brother and id go for option 2 but i dont think that is realistic. You talk about Remy's wages being silly but Nani's wouldnt be affordable to us either, and i dont think Fergie wants to sell him anyway?!.

I do think Fer & Honda are do able deals IF were interested and IF we sell Felli?!.

As for strikers, ive seen that the likes of Cornelius & Finnbogason are valued at around £5m, so for me, 2 young strikers doing very well in there respected leagues and at a price surely we can afford this summer, and IMO, worth taking a shot on!. I think Cornelius as got 20 goals this term for Copenhagen and Finnbogason is one or two goals behind Wilfried Bony in the goalscroing charts in Holland and look at the price he's valued at and the clubs he's being linked to, and Finnbogason's club Heerenveen havent done aswell as Vitesse this season so it's some feet to be up there in the scoring stakes!.

As for Negredo, Sevilla are in finacial shtie!. Tbh, alot of Spanish clubs are and i read a while ago that when all Spanish clubs debts were totalled up, from top to bottom, the value ammassed £3bn!. So by all accounts there's pressure on clubs to find ways of easing there debts off and thats why Negredo could be available for as little as 8-10 million this summer, going by reports anyway?!.

But even though we do need a striker to add to the numbers there, i think it's just as important we find some creativity in CM, wether that be someone who will play deep alongside Gibbo or someone who'll play off of the front man?!.

Either way, it's going to be an interesting summer for Everton FC!.
