Looks to be a good signing. It's very difficult for a player to come straight into the PL and adjust to the pace and physicality of the game. He's shown glimpses of what he can do this season, but hopefully next season he'll be an integral part of a very good Everton team.

Our midfielders are all capable of scoring goals-

Arteta
Fellaini
Cahill
Osman
Billy
Pienaar

All first teamers quite capable of 5-10 goals a season each.

we know Gosling, Rodwell are capable of chipping in also.

Neville is just about the only one who doesn't chip in other than the very occasional goal.

When we look back at the midfielders at his disposal when Moyes took over:

Niclas Alexandersson
Mark Pembridge
Li Tie
Thomas Gravesen
Scot Gemmill
Tobias Linderoth
Lee Carsley
Kevin McLeod
Leon Osman

It's difficult to see how that midfield could provide anything close to a steady supply of goals! (Osman was still an untried reserve)
We really have come a long way

I think he needs a long, hard pre-season more than anything. I don't think he's conditioned enough to play for 90 minutes at the pace English football is played at. He gets knackered after about 65-70 minutes.

It'll take him a while to get there but I think he's got what it takes. He's got the control, awareness and vision to be a very useful player here, and his goals are a bonus aswell.

Is he tired and unfit or just lazy, uninterested, flat footed and just generally soft. Seemed to be completely off the pace tonight.

Only looks dangerous when the ball is played into his feet and has time. Moyes should try playing him through the middle in an advanced role.

They were all a disgrace tonight.
Billy plays for a team.

as i said earlier "we have our new whipping boy do we" ?

ffs the whole team stayed on the bus, or are we expecting him to be what we expected fellaini to be last season ?

it seems a lot expect any player we sign, that we haven't really heard much about, to be the new maradona.

I think he's still getting accustomed to the pace of the game over here. Thought he showed a few good little touches yesterday, some of the passes that looked like he gave the ball away cheaply were, I think attempts at some over-clever stuff.

With a season under his belt, a bit of a summer break, a decent pre-season, improved communication, people on his wavelength, next season I think he could turn out to be an excellent acquisition.

As I said yesterday, he's probably needs a break but has got great potential. Aren't we allowed to say he had a [Poor language removed] game tonight?

we need to back off Bily abit, playing two season's back to back must be hard, but when the pace and quality of the second is faster and far better he would struggle his best will come next year, but that does not excuse that dire performance bily should not of been on the pitch ffs give him a rest,

He was ******* [Poor language removed] and looks more and more like a [Poor language removed], which I hate to see.

He has to play in the middle where his tricks and flicks and thunderous shot could actually do some damage. But he was truly woeful tonight. Got nothing going at all. Why break up pienaar/baines down the left?

Bang on, +rep for you. He is a [Poor language removed], cystitis filled!
Give him till july off, if he comes back with such a lack of testicular fortitude, sack the waste of space on breach of contract. Big Girls blouse!!!
Wonder if he would show more desire running round in a field of penis's.
