Despicable Football Phrases.

In my day it was 'grab a shirt', particularly at free kicks and corners.
'Let him know you're there'. Aimed at centre-half's, referring to centre-forwards. (In the 1950's/60's this was an instruction to clatter him)
'Get rid'. Usually aimed at anyone in possession of the ball.
'Hit it long'. Usually aimed at anyone who completed a 5 yard pass.
'You big fairy'. Usually aimed at centre-half's who didn't let the centre-forward know they were there.
Can you have a word with Marco?;)lol

Slightly off topic, but interviews with players which follow an exact template such as:

“Yeah we’re playing well and the gaffer has us well organised. We just want to take one game at a time and not get carried away and see where it takes us”.
That's not from one of our players. We never win

'He was entitled to go down there'. Bunch of pussies.
Can we add an asterisk for when it refers to Mo Salah, and a double asterisk to indicate this phrase wouldn't be mentioned if the team isn't a media darling?
