One of my old managers every time we would concede a throw in would bellow at me to get”up his a**e”(the winger I would be picking up from the throw inlol)made me cringe every weeklollol

In my day it was 'grab a shirt', particularly at free kicks and corners.
'Let him know you're there'. Aimed at centre-half's, referring to centre-forwards. (In the 1950's/60's this was an instruction to clatter him)
'Get rid'. Usually aimed at anyone in possession of the ball.
'Hit it long'. Usually aimed at anyone who completed a 5 yard pass.
'You big fairy'. Usually aimed at centre-half's who didn't let the centre-forward know they were there.

Unpopular opinion but I actually hate it when a PL record is mentioned and everyone goes ‘FOOTBALL DID EXIST BEFORE 1992 YOU KNOW LAD’ as if it doesn’t get said every single time and is if they never referred to records as ‘this century’ or ‘post war’ before they became gnarly arl gammon faced whingers.

Saying 'Atleti' for Atletico Madrid, or 'Manu U' for United, or pronouncing Millwall like the locals 'Mill-wall'.

Anyone calling Goodison 'The old lady', or describing John Moores as 'Sir John'.
