I really hope we don't sign him. Of course he will shine in a team full of flops like West Ham. The guy is not good for us and require high wage, that is the most important factor.
Questionable logic there. If West Ham are a crap team -- which they are -- then their service is pretty crap -- which it is -- and they don't have much of the ball -- which they don't -- and they don't generally create too much for their frontmen -- which they don't.
And yet he scored 7 in 12 appearances for them. Robbie Keane only managed 2 in 9, and someone of his pedigree should therefore by your logic, also shine in a team of flops. But he didn't. And Ba got these goals without even playing in an out and out CF role; he seemed to often play on the right, supporting Carlton Cole.
No one's saying he's Drogba, but he's looked impressive and has a generally good record everywhere. He's better than what we have now, and you don't even know his wage demands, do you? LCAB says they're nowhere near 75K a week, and Saha is on over £60K a week, so I don't see how they can possibly be any worse than what we're already paying, in terms of bang for your buck.
