Deloitte money league

The fact Newcastle and West Ham are in and around us show exactly the insignificance of that standing. Basically we’ve been able to stay in the league to get thee massive tv payments and occasionally europa. The tv deal is the only reason we’re in there and it’s unbelievable that this is trumped as a success by the Everton board.

That's the 20 richest teams in the world. 6 of them above us are in England. If we were in any other league we'd be knocking about in the latter rounds of the CL every year. But look how Tottenham have got to 10 through shrewd business from a position we have found ourselves in. We really should believe that anything is possible with this in mind.

Pull your socks up blues!

That's the crux of it. 17th highest revenue in World Football (and higher than the likes of AC Milan) but only 7th in the Premier league.

The other piece is that due to TV rights in England the other 13 clubs aren't that far behind in terms of revenue - look at WHU and Newcastle for example. Whereas the 6 clubs above in this financial table are quite a fair bit higher in terms of revenue. Mainly due to better commercial deals, higher match day revenue and higher broadcasting revenue due to Europa/CL participation.

Higher match day revenue will come from the new stadium. Increased capacity, higher ticket prices and more hospitality type offerings.

Commercial revenue is generally increased by success on the pitch and better exposure to TV audiences around the World (through regular CL participation for example).

Tottenham have managed to bridge this gap somewhat. By being well run at all levels and positioning themselves as a regular CL club has dragged up their finances so that they can begin to compete financially with the other 5 English teams. That's the blueprint to follow but without a large injection of outside cash (al la City) it's so hard to do. You pretty much need to get Top 4 a few seasons on the run when you have less financial capacity than 6 other clubs.

Goodison isn't worth much.
So all our assets are on the pitch, and our players are all crap.

So I don't think this league is very accurate as far as Everton are concerned.

Something for the mags to cry about in 19th

all down to TV money, nothing the club has really done.
if we were well run we'd be up around spurs
this this this this.

Laughable the club running around claiming they're dead good at making money.

Let's be honest, the fans couldn't care less about profit/loss if the team is absolutely whack on the field.
