Silva needs to fix the near post epidemic on set pieces. Teams are obviously watching us on tape and licking their chops. Get the near post sorted ffs

Set your watch by it. Abysmal and an opportunity missed. No momentum now going into the break.
All now crapping themselves facing next home game against a team yet to register a point knowing we will do an Everton.
Bleeding disgrace. Is Silva turning into another stubborn José.

Benitez did it throughout his time at the RS iirc. Would be interesting to see how many goals they conceded each year he was there.
As I recall wasn’t their set piece defending one of the major frustrations of his time there, and probably a large part of why he got the boot?

iirc didn’t Klopp try it when he arrived and then ditched it for a combination of zonal and man to man?

I do remember them conceding quite a few set pieces, including a couple against us while he was manager.

I think a mixture of zonal and man-to-man is the best way to go. Need a guy near post to get a rid of everything going there and maybe one guy on the near side of the box in case they play it short and a fella on the back post. Everyone else should be picking somebody up.

Yesterdays setpiece wasnt the typical we let through, Zouma won it but couldnt lift it over and out of the box and landed in a Huddersfield players head. Id say it was very unlucky.
