He may not be scoring goals but having 10 clean sheets in 13 games, and the side is creating clear cut chances in every game, he is clearly working well in the team.

Of course I want a striker to score goals, but he is helping the team to function.

Useful tool in certain games, against teams we expect to be the attacking team kean will be a better option, but against teams where we are looking to be more defensive hes useful, he harries defenders, provides and outball with his work ethic and pace that can be useful at times.

The amount of times I've seen him use his body well against about 3 defenders hold the ball up , then simply pass it back to the other team means it's no longer bad luck. I do see 'the other option' people mention but that's only beneficial if it leads to end product.

If he was playing for Bournemouth and we were linked with a move for him, everyone would be losing their minds saying he’s garbage, and the club have no ambition. He’s likable, he serves a purpose in certain games, but he shouldn’t be leading the line with any regularity.

And thats fine, ive no issue with that, im sure even his biggest fans would concede that we should and can do better. But the poll choices are either hes very bad or hes very good, theres no middle ground.

So no, hes probably not good enough to be starting every week for us, that doesnt mean he stinks tho, he does a good job for the team, IMO hes better than Tosun and Niasse, players we paid over 40m for and clearly not just IMO, in Silvas opinion also.

I dont even understand why we are talking about him, its not like he had a hatful of chances, I thought he did a decent job of leading the line myself.

I think it’s fine not to rate him, as is with every player, but some of the vitriol aimed at him on here seems a little over the top. Saying he should be chased out of the club and that he’s garbage, worst striker ever for us etc. is just being a horrid little wannabe fan really.
