Sad to see Everton fans publicly slaughtering their own new signings so soon into the new season just to further their own agendas. The fact that this seasons Barkley thread is already 140 0dd pages and this is 67 pages so far whilst the players like Idrissa Gueye who's arguably been MOM at least twice and players like Michael Keane who've done well have less than 20 pages between the two of them in their threads proves Everton fans just love to whine on and have a good moan. The Barkley fan boys will never give this lad a fair chance and the Koeman haters who pretend they're behind him will just look to use him as a stick to beat koeman if he's not outstandingly good every week, but ok this is football.
Tbf, I think people are more likely to discuss poor performances and in general players who divide opinion are more likely to cause debate amongst fans.

For example, as much praise as Gana deserves, nobody's going to be that interested in the thread when every single poster just says he is boss.

For the record, Gana is boss.

Why is that contradictory? He can seize his chance from the bench cant he?

You give starting jerseys to players good enough to wear them not because you paid £25M for them.

Davies should be starting. I doubt too many would disagree with that.
I agree, he should earn his starting place. After last season Davies deserves to start then it's up to Klaasen to force him out.

If anything if you told me Everton paid 24m for sandro and 5m for davy that would make more sense to me based on the weekend's game.

I think the word to describe him so far would be 'unspectacular'. He does some good stuff, talented player obviously, but doesn't stamp his authority on games. He plays like he's still trying to feel his way into the system, and the league, which is reasonable to expect.

I personally reckon he may need a full season under his belt before he potentially kicks on. Other players needed the same (Fellaini being a good example) and time is on his side, so there's no need to get on his back so soon.

His clever attacking near post run into the box drew their central defenders, leaving a massive space in the center of the STOKE defence right smack in the middle of the goal for Rooney to score. Plus there were a couple of other occasions where he'd made the run, had the space and didnt get the pass when he had a better opportunity than the other player.

The sooner we go 433 (or more 4123) and stop mucking around with ultra defensive 352 formations, with half the team out of position and not knowing what the hell they were supposed to be doing, against teams like Stoke at home, the better.

Pickford, Baines, Jags, Keane, Kenny, Gana, Davies, Klaassen, Rooney, DCL / striker, Lookman.

Looks impressive. Said it in the match thread sat that you can see where the talent is and what he can bring to the team.

The run alone for Rooney goal won us the game

Keen - Klassen - Sandro with a brilliant turn- DCL with a great cross- Rooney with a great header all contributed to the only passing move of any note in the 1st half to make that very good goal!
Not just one player!
