I get what you are saying in that he wasn't brought in as a DM, but midfielders should be able to play in whatever any area of the midfield they are required to. Think of the likes of Arteta, Barkley, and now Rooney dropping back into a more defensive position when needed.

Schneiderlin doesn't even bother trying to close opponents down anymore. Surely its worth a try to see if Klaassen can do any better ?

Probably hypothetical anyway as SA tried to ship him out during the window.

Problem is, the examples you give are of accomplished premier league players who are very good in one position and can adopt another. Klaassen has really struggled in his best position, so playing him out of position is going to be a nightmare for him, especially if that position relies on strength and requires a defensive mindset.

Also, I don't really agree that midfielders should be able to play in whatever area of midfield they are required. Midfield has a number of specialist areas which require different skills - you would never play Juan Mata deep, you would never play Sergio Busquets high, but they're great in their own areas.

Davies is one of the slowest players at the club, one swallow doesn't make a summer. McCarthy is out injured and Schneiderlin is a clown, Klaassen should be given a chance to show his worth.

This is on Walsh and Koeman this, Klassen should of found a club in the last window, no reason for us too see him again

Fully agree. Can come in for Rooney or Davies as sub at least. Surely offers more than Schneiderlin but I've a feeling Sam has made his mind up about the lad without giving him a chance.

Would definitely like to see him get a run of games over the remainder of the season. The shouts to play him in DM are weird though, it isn't his position and would leave us really exposed.

He should be given a shot with McCarthy out. Even if only as a substitute. Schneiderlin is drifting in the Red Sea on his yacht without a care in the world. Even if only as a substitute.

he has to be given a chance to show if he is up for fighting his way back; just saying "he is sh*t" after five games widely spaced apart is what we did with Niasse, and he is one of the best strikers in the league
