Not convincing mate.
Coleman comes straight back into a poor team and made an immediate impact.
Walcott does that reasonably well too.

We need players that can influence the team, not static one trick passing pony, and he’s not even an impressive passer.
They're two players that know this league and have played hundreds of games in it, and in colemans case he's probably the best in his position in the league. Can't make the comparison between them and someone completely new to the league

If I can’t benchmark him against our better performing players what’s the point of having him in the team? Play him just for the sake of pity?

We’re crying out for better players but at the same time insisting we play less effective players. Weird isn’t it.

That was, like, a million years ago mate.
It was, like, 7 years before our Davy did it mate. Circumstances are pretty much identical. I just find this idea that he must be boss because he's a (occasional) Dutch international, at a time when they're not even qualifying for expanded tournaments, and played in a Europa League final (in which he was completely anonymous and his team lost quite convincingly) to be bizarre. He's not the worst player I've ever seen but I've honestly seen nothing to suggest that he'll turn it round here either.

If Davy Klaasen is ever going to make an impact at Everton it won't be this season.

It has been incredibly difficult for him after quickly being left out by the manager that signed him , not being included by David Unsworth and Sam Allyrdyce making it clear that he wasn't doing enough to be included. He hasn't played since December and coming into a team that is really struggling and to be expected to lift that team given the type of player he is will never happen.

However, he has been extremely professional, I read somewhere that he has impressed the staff at Finch Farm with his attitude. A new manager, a different style and suddenly his face might fit. After the example of Niasse I don't think any player can be written off.

The way Schneiderlin and Davies are playing, you'd have to presume that Klaassen has no future at the club if he's still not making the bench.

I wouldn't be opposed to giving him a go next to Gana, but I'd sooner see Baningime come back in.
