Woah there, I wasn't being the thread police, I was just saying it's a bit harsh to call someone out for an irrelevant post for trying to bring it back to the bloke the thread's about!Because no thread here goes off-topic.

Your quote "I'm still trying to figure out how he made it as a professional footballer, and at one of the biggest clubs in Europe historically and played in a Europa League Final"That's impressive but I am only interested in judging him on how he has performed for Everton, and if we're being truthful about it, he didn't show anything to suggest he is going to make it in this league.
I have nothing against him personally I just don't think he has what it takes to make it in the Premier League. We will see from now until the end of the season, and what happens in the Summer anyway.

So you very specifically were judging him about his time at Ajax, because you couldnt understand how he made it. And I said how he made it was by scoring 35 goals and having 22 assists for them in 2 seasons.
Unsurprisingly, left out of Koeman's Holland squad.
He made a decent defensive header against City (I think), but that's about it.True. I am staggered that he performed so well for them, and has looked as bad as he has for us, albeit in a short amount of time. Still, in 10 appearances i'd expect him to have shown something positive but I don't feel he has.
Good enough to waste our money on but not good enough for him to pick for Holland. Disgrace.
I'm not having it that he shows nothing in training, compared to whom? When you've got players like Schneiderlin and Williams who walk around with disgusting attitudes and people like Martina who has won a raffle getting picked in the squad every week you've got to wonder what Klaassen must be doing at Finch Farm to make the coaching staff think he's a waste of space. Does he turn up in his dressing gown with his hair dishevelled and just raid the fridges like Tony in the Sopranos whenever he went out for the morning paper?
Why not? If he was playing like Zidane in training he'd get a game.
Martina plays like Zach Gowen and yet he gets a game every single week. Schneiderlin actually got sent home from for putting in such an appalling effort yet he was back in the team before long.
Just because a midfielder doesn't fly into tackles full-blooded or look to play 30 yard balls up-field doesn't mean they're useless. He's been handled shoddily by the coaching staff ever since he arrived and deserves a chance now. I'm sick of seeing us field a bunch of weak-minded men who don't care on jolt.
