To be honest, I was a little surprised Koeman was sacked quite so soon. If I didn't know Everton I'd assume the speed of the decision implied there was another manager in mind.

We have definately had talks and got given the green light off someone.
 

I know I am in the minority but I really hope he gets a proper shot at the job, really don't think Ancelloti, Tuchel etc would be in for the long haul and we haven't got the money to smash into the top 6 quickly with big signings, so we need to give some of these excellent kids a chance to play and grow.
 
Give him till the international break.

Although this announcement seems a lot more formal than it normally is with a caretaker upon it's just a quick "... will be in charge for this weekend's game" tweet.

Be interesting to see if he takes an extra U23 lid to Chelsea tomorrow night. Beni Benengine maybe? He's been waxing lyrical about him this season. Possibly Garbutt too.
