There was dip with the Atalanta and Lyon games and S'ton, but the feller came in and got us on an even keel.

You cant ask more than that.

I'm grateful he put himself in the firing line when we needed him to. It is a shame that it never worked out. He made some strange decisions a few times and the players are in a very bad way. It is a lot to ask for someone stepping into their first senior management role and I hope he gets his opportunity somewhere else in the future and is successful.

Agreed, what happened tonight was he finally found the right balance in midfield. These things take time, people thinking he should have turned us round after a couple of games were dreaming. We’ve basically panicked big time appointing Allardyce.

From his perspective, he's not in the job.

Tonight was the only decent performance really. We got lucky against Watford and Palace, and even if you want to argue we didn't the performances were not inspiring.

Also, if we'd started off with two back to back home games we might have been faced with a different scenario right now. No coincidence he got maximum points from the two we had at GP.
