People saying he needs to go elsewere to get experience before we consider him as koemans succesor.
Guardiola had 1 season as Barca B manager before he took the big job there.
Now i am not comparing the 2 at all but it shows, experience isnt necesarily the most important thing.
Sometimes that experience can lead you to more cautiousness, take less risks, go stale etc. (look at moyes).
We all know RonKo is unlikely to be here past his 3 year contract, so i would put the wheels in motion for him to succeed him

..I presume he inherited a decent Barcelona team.

Liverpool are currently 8 points clear of the U23 league.

Now imagine if they win it this season and Plopp gets sacked at the end of the season, imagine how much we would all laugh if they appointed Neil Critchley.

lollollol
The Germans do this all the time and they do football better than us so I'm happy to follow their model.

that's the thing in the prem, far to much pressure for an inexperienced coach, after a few bad results the media will be hounded them out and given there only young they wont be used to that pressure

I wonder how long it would take some of you to turn on him.

I’m guessing 3.6 games.

His history with us aside, he's actually a really likable guy, isn't he? I reckon he'd get longer than most and wouldn't have the press after him because I bet most journalists he interacts with like him.

Yeah he’s sound by all accounts. But some fans are bloody brutal.

Imagine he ignores all his u23 lads. He’d be hounded out.

Who our next boss will be will go one of two ways. If Koeman leaves by mutual consent with notice at the end of his contract, I'd imagine we'd have someone 'experienced' lined up. If he's sacked or spits his dummy out, Unsworth will get it even if just for the shorter term. I'd personally like him to get a go at it if the circumstances are right, I'd much rather have someone who really gets our club leading the line to be honest.

....meanwhile our favourite little Spaniard stands quietly behind Pep at Citeh waiting for the call from his Uncle Bill..........

Perhaps an extreme example, of which I am a little partial to I admit.

Say he bought a gazillion pound striker and dropped DCL for him and he didn’t score for 3 games.

Knives.

I'd say Unsy has the cred to pull that off though. The biggest gripe with Koeman is he seems to try and find reasons not to play the lads until he's forced to.

Personally I'm looking forward to the day when Unsy is in charge and runs out 11 homegrown players each week and we win the league.
