Well, obviously he had bad results - he was at the club for 11 years. I just think he has proven to be a good manager over the years. Plenty of managers fail and then come back better. Even the greats like Clough and Shankly have their fair share of failure on their resume.

If it gets to the stage where he gives up then I will agree, but if he is still motivated he can improve as both a manager and a person. He is only in his mid 50s, so he has perhaps another 10-15 years in the game to reinvigorate his reputation.

It just doesn't work like that mate. Arsenal conceded 8 against United once, clubs don't get given a divine right to not get battered based on size.
