Must admit I flip-flop on the moyes question, remember wanting him gone in his first spell always thought he stayed 3 years to long his football was turgid and awful to watch.
This second spell I was in two minds about his appointment but have to admit he’s done an excellent job of steading the club and would never have thought he’d get us close to European footy. But the trouble with Moyes in my eyes is that he will never change the style of football he plays, he still plays the same as he played in his first spell.
I think his coaching style has not evolved over time and nor will it. Our passing is woeful, our ball retention is dreadful our movement in and out of possession is practically nonexistent. We can’t retain the ball under even the modicum of pressure. If I thought we could get a Glassner or an Iraola I’d be all over it like a rash but I’m not sure we can.

Jobforthemoyes sorry mate my reply to you was flippant and I didn’t mean it to be. But my point still stands his coaching has not evolved his low block and retreating into your own half and hope to hit on the break will only get you so far in this league, at some point you have to play on the front foot and I don’t think that’s his mentality.
