2025/26 David Moyes

We're definitely outsiders for Europe now. He won't be going anywhere, however. I don't think TFG are bothered about titles, as long as we stay out of trouble they'll be happy for us to just bumble along.
This applies to most clubs now, its all about revenue!

What a sad state of affairs football has become

To be fair, Moyes said the same the other day. He couldn't get the players he wanted last summer because they all wanted Europe.
Yep, and that was fair enough this season, it wasn't on Moyes that we didn't qualify this season. However, where we were 3 games ago and how we've played in the last three games, particularly the derby but West Ham was also a really poor performance, is why we've gone from having a really good chance at Europe to having a very slight chance is largely on Moyes. It's not going to be a valid excuse next season as one of the main reasons we won't be in Europe will be Moyes himself. You break it, you buy it.

If I wasn't an arl get, and got into it when I was a kid and could buy a ticket at the gate, I don't think I'd be in to top flight football now. It's a pretty soulless experience these days. It feels a lot like an exercise in draining my bank balance rather than a communal sporting experience.

Same mate ive got a season ticket and ive been once this season West ham at home, i was last home for the Bournemouth game but couldn't be arsed.

The standard has dropped
This fight in players has dropped
The excitement in a game has dropped
The circus that is referees and VAR
The happy clappers who barely move out of there seat even if we score

Everything mate

Nowhere have I stated that Moyes is a better manager. If we finish 10th then it's a draw.

Just come up with a realistic alternative who'd get us into Europe with what would be basically this squad. Ancelotti couldn't do it with arguably a better squad. I mean since Moyes MK1 we've done so well with managers.

But as it turned out Ancelotti wasn't all that anyway. I've stated on many posts that I'm not a commited fan of Moyes. What I am stating is that I highly doubt any manager would get a better tune out of this group of players than he has. The upcoming profitability rules mean that TFG aren't even if they wanted to going to be able to break the bank this summer window,so we are at the same sort of place we were last August which I believe leaves Moyes as the best option currently.
